Late paper request template

The deadline for the lodgement of Cabinet and Cabinet committee submissions is 10:00am on the preceding Thursday.

A late paper request must be provided if a paper is intended to be lodged after the 10:00am Thursday deadline. The request should be provided to the Cabinet Office by the 10:00am deadline, or as soon as possible afterwards.

Approval to send a late paper request must be obtained from the responsible Minister before the request is made. The Chair of Cabinet and each Cabinet committee determines whether late paper requests are accepted or declined.  

Copy the form attached in the word document below to notify the Cabinet Office of the Minister’s request for a proposed late paper.
The email containing the completed form should be sent to cabpapers@dpmc.govt.nz.

The Cabinet Office will ensure that the request is processed and a response provided.
