Executive Council

Below is a template advice sheet used for items submitted to the Executive Council (including for Orders in Council/regulations).  The advice sheet must be printed on heavyweight 'goatskin' buff paper and signed by the relevant Minister.

Template Executive Council advice sheet (Microsoft Word document)

The advice sheet should be addressed to the Governor-General, unless he is overseas, in which case it should be addressed to the Administrator of the Government.  Travel by the Governor-General will be notified on the Cabinet and Committees Workspace on the Public Sector Intranet (link only available to those with access to the PSI).

For information on other accompanying documentation required for regulations going to the Executive Council, see the CabGuide section on the Executive Council and the Governor-General.
